So good!
Melanie is a very special girl. She's crazy smart and she loves school, even though she has to go to and from class strapped into a wheelchair under armed guard. And oh yeah,
(show spoiler). When the base where she lives is attacked, Melanie and the other survivors, two soldiers, a doctor and a teacher, have to try and make their way to the Beacon settlement across miles zombie infested territory.
This was so well written and the zombie plague the characters face was unique. I really liked it, though it's hard to describe without giving too much away. It's a very fast read and the author does a great job at pacing the plot to amp up the tension.
